Vaccinated

Muffin dah di vaksinkan Jumaat lepas, by Gary. Jimmy pun di vaksinkan mlm tu jugak. One jab n another jab next month. After that, yearly basis booster should be enough.

Lepas vaksin, die taknak makan/minum for 24 hrs. Not sure why, maybe due to the vaccination. Anyway, skrg dah mcm biasa, it's good to see him active again. Sebbaik die recover, kalau tak...terjejas duit makan aku bulan nih, kena bawak gi vet... ngeh ngeh ngehh..

Perangai terbaru dia, jilat muka orang. Ngatkan anjing je buat gitu. Mula2 aku x heran, tapi die dah ulang tebiat tu few times dah, since last 4~5 days. Baru tgh hari tadi, die buat lagi. Anyone boleh explain this behavior??

CATS CHEER CHILDREN AND ELDERLY PEOPLE – Emma Osborne, UK

A study of 500 cat owners aged over 55 years old conducted by the Cats Protection revealed:

• 82% found that their cat helped them overcome feelings of stress
• 62% said cat ownership helped overcome feelings of loneliness
• 75% sometimes preferred to share their feelings with their cat rather than a partner or friend.

The same survey also looked at 100 younger cat owners aged 13 years and under:

• 80% said their cat helped them get on better with family and friends
• 81% said they would rather chat to their cat about their feelings, than to their mum, dad or a friend
• 87% of children regard their cat as a ‘close friend’.

Another study surveyed 100 people aged 20 – 40 year olds and confirmed tolerance towards cats may exceed tolerance toward human relationships:

• Nearly half of respondents enjoyed a better night’s sleep with their cat on the bed than they did with their partner in the bed!
• 60% said they could put up with their cat’s bad breath but not their partner’s
• 55% would tolerate their cat taking most of the bed covers at night but not their partner doing that.

Some interesting facts about cats

• Domestic cats are capable of sprinting at about 31
  miles per hour.
  
• When cats walk or run, they step with both left
  legs, then both right legs, and so forth.
  
• Cats are capable of jumping 5 times as high as they
  are tall.
  
• When grooming, cats lose almost as much fluid
  through saliva as they do when they urinate.
  
• Nearly 30% of a cat's life is spent grooming
  itself.
  
• Cats' brains are more similar to the human brain
  than they are to dogs. In fact, cats and humans have identical regions in the

Couple trades son for 25 paise

KOLKATA — Abject poverty drove a couple in West Bengal to "sell" their toddler son to a neighbour for a symbolic price of 25 paise. Local reports said the incident in Malda district's Biddhannagar colony occurred almost a month ago with angry locals saying the destitute couple was forced into the act because the administration had denied them a BPL (below poverty line) card.
Leprosy-stricken Sukumar Mondal and his wife Meera, who have two daughters, were then left with no option but to hand over their one-and-a-half year old son to their relatively better off neighbours Bimal and Swapna Ghosh, reports said.
Sukumar had lost his job after he contracted leprosy, and Meera's work as a domestic help was barely enough for the family of five. "We could not bear the cost of rearing this child. We could not buy him medicine and the panchayat also did not come to our rescue. So we gave him to our neighbours for a symbolic 25 paise price," said Meera. — IANS

Basically Rupees/Paise nih mcm Ringgit/Sen jugak .. 100 Sen = RM1 .. kan? So.. 100Paise = 1 Rupee ... Tapi, yg bezanya, nilai Rupee berbanding nilai RM tak sama ... kena ikut calculation kat bawah nih ..

1.00 India Rupees = RM 0.0874504 ...

25 Paise = 0.25 Rupee

So, 25 Paise is equal to RM 0.0874504 /4
= RM 0.0218626 ~ 2 cents onlyy ???

Activities on Weekend

Last Friday, breeder Muffin SMS aku, telling me that Muffin's birthday is on 23rd February 2005, hari Jumaat. so he's a PISCES. ermm ..

Pisces is sympathetic and compassionate, and cannot bear to see another human
being in pain.

Hehehe...Quote tu utk human, utk cats aku tak sure plak.
So, to be exact, umur Muffin today is ... 73 days .. about 2.5 months ... padanla mcm jage budak kecik .. :-)

Hari ni .. Muffin dah mandi .. for the 1st time, using cat's shampoo .. warm water .. and a towel . Basically org lain yg mandikan, not me myself :D ... BTW, i did gave some advices on the techniques n a few tips that i read in books n from the Net. The plan goes well, and now Muffin is cleaner, n smells good! hehehe ... I'm in the process of introducing healthy lifestyle to him [ taking bath..nail clipping...ear & eyes wipes..etc etc ]. Few times, aku try bunyikan hair dryer kat dia .. utk biasakan dgn bunyi tu... Insya Allah .. he'll handle it ... mase nak keringkan badan die tadi... kiteorg gune hairdryer... die ok je.

Badan Muffin bile kena air..mengigil...n 4 sure.. nampak kurus sket.. bulu die melekap je, after 45 minutes .. nearly 30~50 percent of the fur dah kering... lepas tu die terus tertidur dlm towel. Aku ada attach some of his pictures ...

Plan asal..nak mandikan a semalam, tapi die nyenyak sgt tidur... sampai hari dah hujan..so kenalah cancel plan ..

Another 10cent increase? Now i'm really 10sion!!

This time the price increase very fast...and very huge jump! Mmmm ... Aper nak jadi laa ... Ni la yang amerika suke sgt pegi serang Iraq agaknye, boleh tambah reserve-oil dia ... Tektik terkutuk betul laa ... Nak perang, elok-elok laa ... kan dah naik harga petrol kat sini. Huh ...

Pak arab je la yang makin kaya... minyak dieorg ntah braper juta tong sehari jual kat orang... then, gil enak buat tower, resorts, hotels ... aper salahnya pegi perang dgn amerika tu ... hahaha .. tahu je minyak nak naik 10Cent .. aku pegi la isi full tank ... dpt la aku save 3~4 inggit mlm tu ... bagi penuh tank aku ...

So skrg strategi bawak kereta adalah dgn se-ekonomi mungkin...

• turun bukit jgn tekan minyak
• air cond takyah bukak .. kecuali panas terik je
• kalau traffic light merah, brake awal2, so tak perlu berenti...boleh shoot terus bile dah hijau!
• bawa slow2, pedulikan org lain .. biar je dieorg take-over
• dan bermacam2 lagi ...

Jadik, biarlah aku cerita pasal kitten aku lagi, Si Muffin...ngeh ngeh ngehhh... Hari nih aku tinggalkan die dalam cage. Ajar die sket....Tak boleh manja sgt, nanti spoiled. Anyhow, food n drinks tetap cukup...Baru tadi call Gary utk vaccinkan die....dlm RM28 utk against four(4) major illness. Tapi dlm 3~4 hari la baru nak inject ... Muffin oo Muffin ... nak kena injection plak.

Today Muffin dah mule makan Calcium Supplement. Brand M&C [Mark & Chappel]. Die dlm bentuk mcm cereal, mudah cair kalau terkena air. Muffin suka benda tu, kalau dah bagi asyik minta lagi. Each packet 30grams, suppose..cukup utk 2 bulan. B-)

Busy weekend ...

Semalam Jimmy [kucing housemate] kena neutered. Hari nih macam mamai sesikit, sebab ubat bius tu masih ade kesan kot. Die dah terjaga, makan banyak. Tuan die sgtlah rajin bersih kan area si Jimmy tu. Aku terbaca kat satu poster .. die kata hukumnya harus utk 'kembiri'kan kucing...utk mengelakan masalah dlm masyarakat.

Si Jimmy tu dah 7~8 bulan .. so kire dah sesuai laa utk di neuterkan. Muffin baru je 2 bulan lebey...kena tunggu dlm 3~4 bulan lagi aih. Tak cukup matang lagi. B-)

aku notice kaki si muffin yg belakang tu.. mcm tak kuat sgt...planning to get him some calcium supplement. Nak letak dlm cage la due-tige minggu ni....His ex-owner kata...lebih baik bagi die sleep. Cause kittens are like small babies ... nak sleep lama2 utk grow-up.
